[solved] Ver 3.24.0 Drawing area is low resolution (pixelated) on screen

[solved]Ver 3.24.0 Drawing area is low resolution (pixelated) on screen

System: Windows 10 64bit
QCAD ver: 3.24.0 professional

Problem:
After upgrading to ver 3.24.0 the drawing area appears in “low resolution” – this makes curves and text appear jagged or “pixelated” and unclear, particularly when zooming out of small details. This low resolution appearance also occurs in other parts of QCAD – example in the screen view of the “help” search results.

Corrective actions by user (unsuccessful):
Removed QCAD, rebooted, reinstalled ver 3.24.0. - Problem not fixed.
Removed QCAD and reinstalled earlier version 3.22.1.0. - Problem resolved.

Screen Views:

QCAD 3.22.1.0.jpg View of same test file after re-installing older QCAD version

Many thanks for an excellent product – I hope you are able to address this unfortunate bug in the latest version.

Regards

Clearly something wrong.
3.23 is ok.

JJ, if you would specify your version it could help Andrew a lot I think.

The original attachments do not give a vivid impression of how unfocused the drawing appears.
Attached her are two close-ups of the test file in version 3.22.1.0 (good) and then in 3.24.0 show better the blurred effect.

Additional information - using file>print, the output from 3.24.0 is good. Only the screen views are degraded

USER2019X: Are you using a high-res / retina display?

If yes, you can enable a high-res graphics display (at the cost of performance) under
Edit > Application Preferences > Graphics View > Appearance > Use full resolution for Retina Display
To further improve the smoothness of the display, you can enable anti-aliasing on the same preferences page as well.

If no, this might be a Qt bug with retina / high-res display detection.

Problem Solved!

Have applied your recommendation for
Edit > Application Preferences > Graphics View > Appearance > Use full resolution for Retina Display

Please accept my grateful thanks for such a super-fast helpful reply.

Further information:
There is no obvious reduction of performance using this setting.
Monitor Name: BenQ GC2870 on Intel UHD Graphics 630
Current Resolution: 1920x1080

The reference manual still has text in low resolution (see attachment) but, for me, this does not present any difficulty - so the matter is resolved.

Thanks again & best regards
