[solved] Correct way to make this Arc

Post by slyde » Sun Dec 10, 2017 2:43 pm

Hi Forum:

I came across some CAD exercises the other day. Being new to CAD, this made me happy. But last night one of them got me. Last piece of the puzzle too! It was a 20 degrees radius arc. I tried all of the arc tools and cldnt make it work. What I ended up doing was making a 20 degrees radius circle and eyeballing it in place, then trimming it. And that's not the way to do it. But I can't figure out how to achieve this arc.

Here's a pic of the exercise, followed by what I did.

I'd appreciate someone showing me how to draw in this arc the right way. Thanks.

2 Tangents and Radius

Always look and work with all the geometry information given, in this case circles.

Run the tool and choose the correct circle you need, then break out/trim to suit.
