[solved] Inserting Excel sheet or selected cells via paste

Post by simonza777 » Fri Jul 16, 2021 12:17 am

Hi Everyone,

I've been using QCAD for a little while on some projects.
I'm a landscape designer.
Just wondering if i can paste a selected area of cells from Microsoft Excel into QCAD?
I need to insert a table of proposed plants.

I used to be able to do that easily in AutoCAD but can't seem to do it through Qcad.

Thanks for any help.

Also am curious if there is an equivalent method of 'Arraying' blocks along lines or curves in Qcad similar to it in AutoCAD?
So i can array blocks of plants along a curved line edge, following the curve/s or lines.

Yes and no ...
As a table as it looks in Excel - no. As plain text from a row or column - yes but not as a table format.
As a screenshot - yes.

Yes, that is possible. You can use the tool "Paste along Entity" for that.

Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.
