This was something included in a post I was preparing.

(New) Hatches typically use a hatch pattern that was installed with QCAD.

If a DXF / DWG file is loaded, the file may contain a hatch pattern that is not contained in QCAD.
Therefore, hatches along with the pattern(s) used are stored in DXF / DWG.
When a hatch loads and uses such a pattern from the DXF / DWG file,
it will be displayed in the Property Editor by the From Object property (Yes value).
That's easy, confirmed and I can shorten my post. :)

Next question:

If we come by a hatch in a file we would like to set apart:
Can we extract such a hatch definition?

Just a thought,
