Hi, and welcome to the QCAD forum.

Please attach the file in question. (See forum rules)
If the file is proprietary or when you don't like to share it on a public forum then send a 'Private message' to one of the Admin/Moderators.
See top right or follow: https://www.qcad.org/rsforum/memberlist.php?mode=team

Hatches that are too dense or return too many pattern shapes may timeout hatch rendering.
See: menu Edit .. Applications Preferences .. Graphics View .. Appearance .. Display and Performance
Not sure if this setting is global or per hatch entity.
In my case the setting is maxed out.

I know of hatching that may not entirely fill the intended area.
Usually the boundary has some artifacts that make the hatching math go haywire.
Simplifying the boundary may solve that.
Another solution may lie in moving the Hatch origin. (See Property Editor when selected)
Scale and angle may have an influence too.
