I began this project 4years ago. It is a sailboat modification. I built a pilothouse on the aft of the cabin, amongst numerous other things.
Today, I made a shocking discovery. As shown in the screenshot, I went on the boat to see where the handrail would be. I measured it to be 33" and match the point in the screenshot.
But, the CAD program measures this as 44.2". How could this be?
The boat is 25.75 feet long. QCAD measures it as 25.79. Within parameters. Can horizontal dimensions be correct, while the vertical dimensions are wrong?
I welcome any assistance, questions or suggestions.
Thanks

Re: Scale issue?
hi magicod,
Would it be possible to attach a drawing file?
Not public one can PM.
or
PM it to a moderator.
We cannot verify such things from a png.
You can scale a drawing in one direction.
The ... bak003.bak001 ... tells us there were other problems in the past.
Sizes in mm and dims in inches tell a different story.

CVH

Your QCAD version is over 3 years old. I recommend to update to the current version. There is still a free version available below:

How to remove the Trial Add-Ons (what makes it to a free Community Edition)?:

Your sailboat drawing - it looks like you are working with a QCAD Backup file. Do you have the same scale issue with the original dxf? Do you have still the original dxf drawing?
To help you more efficient please attache the drawing to your post.
