[solved] hatch into splines [QCAD CE v3.24.3][WIN 10]

Post by phoenics » Sun May 10, 2020 5:11 pm

Hi,
I'm trying to do what I wrote in the subject above. I have 2 splines connected by 2 lines (I tried also a simple closed spline but it doesn't work the same) and then I tried to put hatch into it (I tried almost all hatch patterns and different scales but nothing). I attach a sample dxf file created with QCAd (version and os in the subject above) with 2 splines connected by lines. I think there is probably a workflow that I don't know an so this should be the reason...
I really appreciate in advance your help.

Thanks.

Hi,
yes, it should work but for some reason it doesn't work in the CE version. QCAD Pro works just fine.

Workaround: Explode the spline, create the hatch.

If you like to file a bug report you can do that below www.qcad.org/bugtracker
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.

Hi,
CE doesn't support all the spline functionality that the PRO version does.
For one it only support creation of the control point type.
Strange that exploding the splines worked out while it is also a Pro feature.
