Hello to all
I am a long time CAD user but brand new to Qcad. My professional experience is mostly Unigraphics/NX, Solid Edge, and Autocad but I've used a few others for CNC programming. I've been using Solid Edge 2d as a volunteer for a Non Profit Railroad partner of the National Park Service. But Solid Edge is restricted to Windows platforms and I want to switch to a Mac.
So far this Qcad looks fantastic and most things are self explanatory. The only thing I'm slow to pick up is the paper space and dimensioning. I have two options: Bombard the forum with a endless string of questions or read the instructions. So get ready for a lot of questions

Welcome rluke, and greetings from Southwest Michigan
There are several people here that are pros with QCAD and are always happy to help. I'm not one of those people, but I might still try to be helpful anyhow!
