Hello,
As I retired owner of an IT company, with an electronic design background, I decided to make electrical / mechanical design my hobby. Built some time ago a small CNC machine and the electronics behind it. Used Draftsight for a few years, but as they changed licensing conditions, I found in QCAD an excellent, compatible alternative. With G-code generation for my Linux_CNC system as a bonus.
