Using QCAD in Full Screen Mode

Post by andrew » Wed Apr 20, 2016 8:43 am

How full screen applications behave depends a lot on the operating system that is being used (Windows, Mac, Linux).

Windows / Linux:
You can exit full screen mode by choosing Window > Full Screen or pressing F11.

If you wish to use QCAD in full screen mode, you can switch to other applications using Ctrl-Tab.

Mac OS X:
In full screen mode, the application menu is not visible. Move the mouse cursor all the way to the top of the screen to show the menu. You can then exit full screen mode by choosing Window > Full Screen or pressing ⇧⌘F (Shift-Command-F) or clicking the round green button a the top left while showing the menu.

If you wish to use QCAD in full screen mode, you can switch to other applications using ⌘⇥ (Command-Tab).
A full screen application acts like a virtual desktop under Mac OS X. If you press Control-Up, you can see all virtual desktops and full screen applications at the top and click on them to switch. You may also press Control-Left / Control-Right to switch between desktops or full screen applications.

Launching QCAD in full screen mode
If you quit QCAD in full screen mode, it will launch in full screen mode again next time you use it.
