Installing qcadcam-3.22.0.11 failed

Post by RobB » Wed Jun 12, 2019 9:05 pm

I installed qcadcam-3.22.0.11-pro-win64-installer.msi over the existing 3.22.0 installation to test the fixed block import/export function [Windows 7]
Lots of updated folders, but there is no qcad.exe in the QCADCAM directory anyymore.??
Is this the wrong procedure to try a snapshot?

Installing an MSI to the same folder as a previous one should work fine. Be sure to wait until the whole installation process has finished before starting QCAD again.

The best way to try a snapshot is to download the ZIP archive and unpack it somewhere and run it from there. This makes sure that the existing stable installation is not affected in any way.

If an installation is broken, uninstall, delete the installation folder and install from scratch.
