Problems with dimensioning

Post by Toooby » Mon Jul 25, 2022 1:51 pm

Dear all,
I sent a few dxf files to a manufacturer.
When he opens the dxf files with Autocad, the dimension lines and arrows can be seen, but no numbers at all. I also see this, when I open the files with Autodesk TrueView.
He says: "When we mark the dimensions, Autocad shows the dimensions, scaled by 0.5" and sent me a picture, where all the dimensions are shown, scaled by 0.5. E.g. the overall length of 50 (mm) is shown as 25.
Can anybody help me, figuring out what I'm doing wrong?
Thank you!

Hi,
Your drawing looks fine with me in QCAD, but I do not have Autocad
Some companies have older AutoCad version that may not work correctly when QCAD saves in the latest dxf format.

I can confirm the problem with your file.

Saving the file with QCAD 3.27.6 seems to fix the issue (see attached).
