hello, I'm working with Qcad from version 3.27.0, with no apparent problem, except for the slowness to manage the files.
but when updating to version 3.27.3 if I can open the program but when trying to open a file, it closes without any warning
I work from a Thinkpad P43s
with debian 11 bullseye
bash 5.1.4
gnome 3.38.6
24 ram

Hello,
Trying to load this drawing for testing purposes in two "Big Brother" CAD software's failed also - message: invalid construction / empty drawing.
I tried to fix that drawing - if it works I'll tell you how to do it.
Please check it out:
However - I would consider the size of the drawing as a challenging task for QCAD ...
your example file isn't entirely done in QCAD! It has a bunch of invalid blocks which can't be created in QCAD. Maybe it has also 3D entities what I can't say for certain ...jAVIERGZTV wrote: ↑Mon May 02, 2022 2:58 am... I can open the program but when trying to open a file, it closes without any warning

Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.

Re: unexpected closing when opening a file with the update to version 3.27.3
Thank you very much Husky, unfortunately the program continues to close, the attached file is used to generate volumes of work, it works well in version 3.27.2.
Currently I don't draw, I only use it as I told you to visualize the project and prepare budgets, so I have to work with projects that they send me, most of them in elaborate native AUTOCAD.
I would be grateful if you would share with me the process of fixing the file to try with the base drawing, since it may be corrupted for some reason
Cheers

That shouldn't be a problem!
I'm happy too ...jAVIERGZTV wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 2:34 am... most of them in elaborate native AUTOCAD.

Open the drawing in QCAD. You can do that in either versions (3.27.2 / 3.27.3)
Launch below Menu / Misc / Blocks / Fix Block Names ...
... this will remove the invalid asterix on your block names.
Then launch below Menu / Misc / Modify / Flatten Drawing to 2 D ...
... this will remove 3D information.
Note: After fixing your file I've no problems to work on it ...
Regarding your 3.27.3 issue:jAVIERGZTV wrote: ↑Mon May 02, 2022 2:58 ambut when updating to version 3.27.3 if I can open the program but when trying to open a file, it closes without any warning
If you install a QCAD update make sure you downloaded the correct packet regarding to you Operation System. Install the update in a new or empty subdirectory - never mix different versions in the same directory.
