Lines are printed very thick, while in print preview all normal

Post by SDeBeukeleer » Tue Jun 29, 2021 7:30 pm

Hi guys,

This one is driving me crazy: I have a dwg that I use as a map for my festival.
One layer represents all the trees in the area. The layer is called "bomen"

When checking this layer, it has a thin line: 0.13mm, but when printing, it's the only layer printing with thick lines.
No idea what I'm doing wrong.

Anybody has any clue?

Thanks!
Steven

The polylines on layer "bomen" have custom global widths set (ignoring the line width of the layer):

To fix, select all those polylines, for example by selecting all entities of layer "bomen" and changing global width to 0 in the property editor.

Hi,
The trees have a custom global width polyline. e.g. 207.66...
That supersedes the entity or layer weight setting.
There are 3561 trees on 'Bomen' not all with the same polyline width.

In dutch ... Jou boompjes gebruiken een speciale dikte.

@cvh
@andrew

Thanks a lot!

While I'm at it: how can I reduce the filesize? There's a lot of Blocks/Layers I don't use and don't need.
Is there a way to do this?

Thanks!
Steven

Mostly the forums rules include "1 question per topic", here it doesn't. :wink:

The danger always exit that you trow the baby out with the bathwater. :lol:
Don't worry, every action can be "Undone".

Select the Block in the Block List and hit the minus symbol.
Select the Layer in the Layer List and also hit the minus symbol.

For unused blocks there is also Menu .. Block .. Purge Unused Blocks (BP)
"BP" is the keyboard shortcut, simply key in B followed by P.
For empty layers there is also Menu .. Layer .. Purge Unused Layers (YP)

There usualy more ways to activate a method. 8)
