Mixing languages in layout names

Post by ouilogique » Mon Apr 12, 2021 8:06 am

When a drawing is created, the first layout is named in English "Layout1".

When subsequent layouts are created, they are named in the user’s language. For example in French "Présentation".

It would be better if all names were either in English or in the user’s language, but not a combination of the two languages.

In my opinion, it would be better if layouts were named in English. This would facilitate collaboration in multilingual teams.

Note that you can choose the name of the layout when creating a new layout block:
https://qcad.org/doc/qcad/latest/refere ... /AddLayout

You can also rename layouts using Block > Rename Block.

Yes, I know that the name can be chosen during or after the creation of the layout. I would just prefer the default naming to be consistent.
