Importing ACAD Multi_line text

Post by seasdes » Tue Jan 26, 2021 2:04 pm

I am new to QCAD.
When i import an ACAD file the text that was created as multi-line text comes into QCAD an a single line text. How can I stop this from happening?

Most likely these texts are wrapped automatically at a certain width in Autocad. Unfortunately, this is currently not supported in QCAD (only "hard" line breaks are supported).

What a pity. Some of the files that I work with have a lot of this type of text.

Is word wrapping a feature under development or in the distant future?

Otherwise QCAD is great for my needs

We have an experimental implementation of word wrapping. There's a good chance that this will make it into the next snapshot and hopefully into the next final release as well.
