Printing white on white

Post by dajmycad » Sat Nov 07, 2020 4:37 pm

Printer output is printing "white on white" - hence blank pages.

I am using Version 3.6.0.0 on an iMac (mid-2011) running High Sierra v.10.13.6 and printing to a Brother HL-L2340DW laser (b&w) printer.

I also notice that when I save the drawing a message comes up on the panel above the command line saying
Saving to file format version 'R15 (2000) DXF Drawing (dxflib) (*.dxf)'.
Black entities and layers are saved as white.
Custom colors are 'rounded' to the nearest fixed color.
Saved drawing: /Users/davidjames/Documents/QCAD/Model Railway/BookingOffice.dxf
Format: R15 (2000) DXF Drawing (dxflib) (*.dxf)"
I have tried fixing this by resetting the line colour to black in the layer property dialog, but it makes no difference.
Any suggestions?

Hi,

See:
AppPrefs .. Graphics View .. Appearance .. Color Adjustment .. Prevent white on white / black on black
Also:
Lasers can put out lineweights one can't see on a paper.
Check for 00mm, default or increase the weight.

The file format itself is limiting .. Use a newer format.

Pls read the forum rules.
One Q at a time

Regards,
CVH

Keep in mind that the lines might be too thin to be visible in the output. See:

-> Thin or Invisible Lines
