Hi,
I am new to this forum and would like to ask a question regarding "large" arrays of blocks.
In the attached file I made a 10 by 10 array of pattern1. Pattern1 consists of three sub-block containing a total of 210 elements. I can work with this array size but when I go to something like 100 by 100 it takes QCAD several minutes to show the results and further modifications are no longer doable in terms of time.
Are such large arrays in principle beyond QCAD's capabilities or do I miss something that makes it workable.
Thanks,
Sam

Re: Large arrays of blocks
I'm afraid 210*100*100 = 2'100'000 entities is indeed too much for QCAD to handle, sorry.

Thanks for fast response.

Hi,
When I read pattern and repetition I think off hatches.
The question that arise is what purpuse would have the 100x100x42x5 sqaures?
If just a pattern, then a hatch will do.
If not, then I don't know the use and find the 4+1 squares odd.
