I have a large file developed as part of a house build project.
Running quadcam pro on OPENSUSE 42.2
I recently upgraded from 3.14.0-pro-linux-x86_64 to 3.15.5-pro-linux-x86_64
In the drawing, I have Drawing Preferences:General:Drawing Unit set to foot and Paper Unit set to Inch.
Everything fine in 3.14.0
When I open the file in 3.15.5, it seems to have opened assuming Drawing Unit set to inch, all dimensions are /12.
Am I doing something wrong?
It seems that Application Preferences are being applied to this existing file

Re: Scale issue afetr upgrade to quadcam 3.15.5
I can confirm that this behavior has indeed changed in order to be compatible with other DXF/DWG applications. Even if the drawing unit is set to "Foot", the drawing unit is assumed to be "Inches" if the linear dimension format is set to "Architectural" or "Engineering".
This compatibility fix was introduced in QCAD version 3.14.3.
To port your drawing, please proceed as follows:
- Load the drawing
- Edit > Convert Drawing Unit
From: "Foot" To: "Inch"
- Click check mark to start conversion
This might take several minutes. Your drawing unit will be Inch after this (the only unit you can use if the dimension format is "Architectural". You can still enter measurements and coordinates in feet using one of the following notations:
1'
1'6"
1'6 1/2"

OK, thanks for the explanation.
I did not want to convert if this was a transient issue.

Forget it - I realized I had a copy of qcad 3.16.7 (incorrect update a while ago) and it had the Edit-convert drawing unit.
