I can not get the Scale command (Modify//Scale) to work. I choose one or more entities, choose Scale and it asks for a Focus Point. I click on a point and the dialog window appears. I provide the information in the window and click OK.
And nothing happens. But it asks for a Focus Point over and over. Selecting a point does nothing and the program gets stuck there. I have to Save the file and Close it to regain control.
A file is attached, but this happens on every drawing where I try it. I even started a new file using one of the templates provided with QCAD but got the same results.

Re: Scale Command: Is There A Problem?
Hi,
There is a circle and a two horizontal lines in the file.
I can scale the circle or all three the entities with the dialog.
The SZ tools terminates as soon as a selection is scaled.
Scaled, scaled copy or multiple copies?
Is the scale factor different from 1 and what factor is used?
Are you scaling per values or per cursor?
Scaling proportional or not?
Is 'Use current layer and attributes' ticked and is that layer accessible ... Thawed and not locked.
QCAD 3.29.3.0 is not the latest update ... The latest stable release is 3.29.4.0
Regards,
CVH

Re: Scale Command: Is There A Problem?
I can reproduce this problem if the scale factor that is entered is invalid (e.g. "dummy" instead of a valid number). This has been fixed for the next release.Chips&Chips wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2024 6:19 amAnd nothing happens. But it asks for a Focus Point over and over. Could that be the case? Can you attach a screenshot of your dialog?
By the way: You can get out of the tool by clicking the mouse cursor arrow button at the top left of QCAD or using menu Edit > Reset.

Re: Scale Command: Is There A Problem?
My apologies! I did have an invalid number. I entered
0..8
That's two decimal points. For some reason I seem to be doing this a lot with QCAD number entry. I need to watch what I am doing.
It works great with one decimal point.
