Hello, this is going to be a very dumb question, I'm sure.
I am helping one of my customers who is having some issues in QCAD. I have never worked in QCAD before so I'm extremely unfamiliar with the software and its intricacies.
I have a user who is opening a DXF file in QCAD, and the drawing is supposed to measure 8" wide. However, the ruler towards the top of the drawing appears to be scaled up way too high, and when he is using a tool within the software to measure it, it's coming up as 324" according to him. I'm not sure what may be wrong, or if we are looking at something wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: CAD Drawing scaling is way off
QCAD loads the coordinates exactly as stored in the file.
If you can attach your file, we can help more efficiently (see also forum rules above), thanks.

Re: CAD Drawing scaling is way off
Thanks.
The file is constructed 36 times the indicated size.
I.e. one drawing unit equals 36 inches in the real world.
To scale to 1:1, proceed as follows:
- Select > Select All
- Modify > Scale
- As reference point, click any point
- Enter the scale factor "1/36" (without the ") and click OK
