Drawing a wall

Post by RLARMER » Wed Aug 18, 2021 4:52 pm

I would like to be able to draw a wall in floor plan as a single "line". For example, a wall consists of brick, air space, sheathing, studs and drywall that consists of approx. 6 offset lines (depending on the level of detail) totaling about 12" thick. Is this a type of polyline?
Windows 10; QCAD v.3.26.4.

No, that are parallel lines while a polyline is like a chain of line/arc segments.
Usually one draws them as an offset of lines or as offset shapes.

There are more requests for drawing several parallel lines in one go what is feasible with scripting.
The latest request was from Christian_R including auto trimming and we got far until he dropped out.
