From a QCAD user:
How can I insert a QCAD drawing into an office suite software such as Microsoft Word, OpenOffice, Pages, etc.?

You can export drawings from QCAD to various bitmap formats (BMP, PNG, JPEG, etc.) or to SVG (scalable vector graphics).

Bitmap export: File > Bitmap Export...

SVG export: File > Quick SVG Export

Any office software will be able to insert bitmaps and most will accept SVG files as well.

For the best quality, SVG should be the first choice as it is scalable losslessly.

If SVG is not available, high-resolution bitmaps can be used to guarantee a good result on screen and prints. The recommended bitmap format is PNG as it is lossless, compressed and widely available.
