Ok, completely new.
How do you draw architectural lines (say, 6 inch walls) and them trim them?
Sorry if that sounds like an old autocad question. It kinda is
Very Basic: Lines, trim

Hi,
Your question isn't that basic - there are uncounted (not really) possibility's to accomplish your task. With what I know so far I would answer use a line tool and an offset tool and there is no need to trim anything ...
With other words - we need more details! Please elaborate exactly what you like/need to do and if possible provide a dxf or screenshot what shows where you stuck ...

Re: Very Basic: Lines, trim
That's helpful.
Ok. Let's say I want to add a closet. I'll need to protrude from an exterior wall, so I'd be "erasing" where that wall protrudes from the perimeter wall. Clear as mud?

Re: Very Basic: Lines, trim
Are there any tutorials, books, etc for architects using QCAD?
Re: Very Basic: Lines, trim
Solely for architects? Not to my knowledge. But there is an excellent QCAD book out there from the QCAD developer himself:
https://qcad.org/en/documentation/the-qcad-book
And as a matter of fact there are many Architects which work with QCAD Pro and share the experiences with the user in this forum ...
