When is a Drawing Too Big For QCAD

Post by seasdes » Mon Jun 21, 2021 5:39 am

I am a recent user of QCAD and really like its simplicity in use. That simplicity allows me to get on with the job.
I notice a few comments on various forum posts where the response to the poster was that maybe the job is too large for QCAD.
This is probably a silly question. However, Is there a guide to the type of large jobs that QCAD can handle relatively easily.

What you perceive as acceptable performance depends on your drawing size, drawing complexity (entity types, blocks, etc.), on your hardware and last but not least on your personal expectations. So this cannot really be answered in a general way I'm afraid.

Thanks Andrew. I half expected that answer. I suppose another way to rephrase my questions is what sort of architectural projects do QCAD users use the software for eg single houses, townhouses etc
