Hello all,
I have a drawing with a model space and paper space.
I have made several viweports to the model space from paper space.
now the line types appear different in Viewport (paper space) than model space.
If i select print preview in model_space the lines look correct.
Is there any way to correct this?
I must be doing something wrong

Thank you

Re: Line types appear different in Viewport
For such large drawings, it's usually best to adjust the global linetype scale:
Edit > Drawing Preferences > General > Linetype > Global linetype scale
A value between 100 and 150 would work well for this drawing.
Edit > Drawing Preferences > General > Linetype > Global linetype scale
A value between 100 and 150 would work well for this drawing.

Re: Line types appear different in Viewport
andrew,
First of all, I apologize in advance if this should be its own thread, but is there a fixed length used to initially define the linetypes, or is it some factor of the particular drawing unit? I'm curious what the initial sizes are for non-continuous parts of a line and how those are defined so I know for myself how I would calculate a change to the linetype scale besides just typing in a value until it looks good.

Linetypes are in ...\QCAD\linetypes\metric\qcadiso.lin
or ...\QCAD\linetypes\imperial\qcad.lin
E.g. Imperial:
*BORDER,Border __ __ . __ __ . __ __ . __ __ . __ __ .
A,.5,-.25,.5,-.25,0,-.25
And this repeats every 0.5+0.25+0.5+0.25+0.25 = 1.75 drawing units.
Scaled up by 100 that would be every 175 drawing units.
