(solved) how to connect multiple lines

Post by kharn.duffy » Thu May 13, 2021 2:24 am

im just wondering and its probably right in front of me. but how do you connect all lines you have selected to make one whole line?
so say you make a square out of individual lines trim the corners and select each line, is there a way to join them all to make it one?
cheers

Yes, that would be a polyline and there are multiple ways to do that.

One could be: Select your lines and launch the tool "Polyline from Selection" (CE). It will convert the selected and connected lines to a polyline ...
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.

That would be (OC) If I am not mistaken.
(Unless one has customized the tool shortcuts.)

Always trim before you use "Polyline from Selection" (OC).

Please don't confuse user with unrelated topic cross-references. So far the issue / goal description from the user is clear and there is no need for an baseless "Always trim" advise for the "Polyline from Selection" tool.

From my point of view: Not unrelated.
If not trimmed proper and having gaps/overshoots the original entities may rotate/slant a tiny bit.
Simply a sound advice on good partice.
