Opacity

Post by shoshi » Wed Apr 07, 2021 10:42 am

can I change the opacity of a layer/fill? so I can see through it when printing.

or is there a way round this?
If not, can I set the layer to be in the background?

For fills / hatches, you can change the Alpha property (255 = opaque, 0 = fully transparent).

To move selected entities to the background, you can use Modify > Draw Order > Send to Back.

To select all entities on a layer: Right-click on layer name in the layer list > Select Layer Entities

Note that in CAD, layers have nothing to do with draw order as opposed to the use of layers in some other applications.

Thanks for posting this question and for the reply. I never knew that was possible on QCAD and will be very useful for me in my work!
