How do I input a line length using the command box? On my macbook pro it will not let me enter an amount by hitting the return key. I have tried using shift,fn,control, option and command but none of them seem to do it. If i plug in a secondary keyboard it works fine, so I must be missing something. Any help appreciated as I would like to not have to use the secondary keyboard, bit clunky if I am out and about.

Can you please elaborate how you proceed?
E.g.:
1. Draw > Line > Line from 2 Points
2. Click start point
3. Click into command line (?)
4. Enter length (?)
5. Press enter (?)
