[solved] Change dimension units from inch to mm
I have a drawing that is in inches and I would like to display mm when using the dimension tool. I have tried to change drawing units in drawing preferences and application preferences with no luck.

Hi,
CAD drawings have in fact no units, they used to have none.
Nowadays a unit is associated with the drawing.
But 101 long stays 101 long, regardless the unit one gives that.
Lightyears if you want.
Question:
Do you want the (still original) drawing to be converted from inches to mm?
>> Menu Edit > Convert Drawing Unit (CU)
Do you only need some dimensions in mm?
>> Dimension Specific Property Linear Factor x25.4

Thanks for the reply but I am not following. The drawing units is inches and I would like the dimension tool to display in milimeters

Keeping the drawing in inch but displaying dimension numbers 25.4 times larger.
Select the dimension or dimensions some /all
See Property Editor. Verify the selected are only dimensions.
See Specific Property > Linear Factor
Set this to factor 25.4.
Every unit of the measured value is now multiplied by 25.4.
Something 1.5 drawing units long will display as 38.1
1 inch displays as 25.4 mm.
If you also change all Labels to <>mm
Then the scaled measured value (<>) is followed by a text (mm).
