Post by seasdes » Tue Mar 02, 2021 2:15 am

Is it possible to rotate viewports in paper space?

If you select your viewport and then look in the properties editor, there is a rotation field under Specific Properties. It looks like it will rotate the contents inside of the viewport, but not the viewport rectangle itself.

Thanks for that. I had trouble selecting the viewport. I had to use the Select All command to select the Viewport.

That seems strange. In my experience, clicking anywhere within the bounds of the viewport will select the entire viewport, even if I put the viewport selection rectangle in a layer that I have made non-plottable. Is it possible that you put your viewport selection rectangle in a layer that you made non-visible? When I do this it still shows the contents of the viewport but I can't seem to select the viewport rectangle then.

Thanks for that. It was a layer thing that made the viewport unselectable. I changed the viewport layer to another layer and all works fine.
