How to change angle of dimension text?

For linear dimensions the dimension text aligns with the dimension line. Thus, for a vertical dimension line the text is rotated 90 degrees to the horizontal. Can this dimension text be set to horizontal? (The same question applies to any dimension lines that aren't horizontal.)

I see that dimension text "angle" is discussed here (https://qcad.org/doc/qcad/3.0/developer ... _data.html) but I have no idea what to do with this.

No, that is in the current QCAD version not possible. The only way to do that is to explode the dim but you will lose on that way the dim functionality.

Just a few days ago, I put in a request for this same feature in the QCAD bugtracker. https://www.ribbonsoft.com/bugtracker/. It is item 2190. You can upvote that ticket if you would like. I don't know if that vote number has impact on what features are chosen to be implemented but I thought I'd mention it.
