Hello,
QCAD Pro Version : 3.25.2.0 (3.25.2)
OS : W10
I create a block which is shown in the Block tool.
I selecte a block in the list
I click the Insert button, the command line shows : Commande: blockinsert
The option toolbar is active
Clicking in any layer, correctly selected and correctly visible does nothing. No block is inserted.
Thank you for your help.

Re: Insert block doesn't work
Where are you trying to insert the block? Into model space I presume? When you choose insert block, that block should show up attached to your pointer, ready for you to place it. Can you upload your file?

Re: Insert block doesn't work
When I open your .DXF, I see two blocks (bonhomme and marche), however, neither of those blocks appear to have any geometry in them. I make sure to turn visibility on fall all layers use Ctrl-A to select all once I've opened those blocks and it doesn't look like anything is selected.
Re: Insert block doesn't work
Thank you so munch for jour help.
I went back to the user's manual and I have seen where is my problem. I didn't define a reference point and so the block wasn't created.

Re: Insert block doesn't work
One more question.
I can insert a block only in the layer in which the block has been created.
Is there a way to create a block which could be inserted in anay other layer.

Re: Insert block doesn't work
If you go back into the original block (the block definition) you can set the color and the linetype individually to "by block" in the properties editor. When you do this, each block reference that you place in your drawing will inherit the color or linetype of whatever layer is active at the time you place it or later change it to. You could do this for the entire block, or for only individual parts of it as needed.
