Hi all
I opened a drawing in the Qcad library and modified to include an extra dimension and saved, replacing the original. When I use this component in a new drawing the change is not shown. Any ideas?

Re: Library item not updating
Hi,
So you edited a library item as a seperate dxf file.
You then saved that dxf file back in the folder it came from...
A: On a win system Qcad can't addres the OS protected program folder.
Your file tend to get in something as 'protected storage'
B: Qcad loads resources at startup. Did you rebuild the library list?

CVH

Re: Library item not updating
If you insert a library item (say "MyItem.dxf") into a drawing, a block with the name of that item is created in your drawing (block "MyItem"). If you insert the same (updated) item again, the block "MyItem" already exists and is simply reused.
You can overwrite the existing block "MyItem" in this case by ticking the option "Overwrite blocks" in the options toolbar at the top. QCAD then updates the block "MyItem" with the new contents of the library item.
