Hi,
Does anyone know how to change standard text to Rich text like Helvetica?
No matter what I do in the text dialogue box, property editor panel or application settings, the particular text shows as 'standard'.
Thank you.

Re: Rich Text appearing at standard text
Hi, I think the problem is the font itself.
Qcad/Qt handles TFF and CXF, the latter being a dedicated line font.
When I correlate it with my font folder:
Qcad list: .OTF, .TTF, .TTC & .CXF (all as 'TT', the CXF's first)
And not: .CompositeFont, .fon, .shx ....
So all depends on whether you have the font file installed.
And where.
Helvetica is a proprietary and licensed typeface.
There are many Helvetica alternatives in TTF: Arial being one.
And there are fairly good TTF clones:
https://www.fontmirror.com/helvetica
I tried this, and as long as it is a valid TTF it works.
1 extra thing: Qcad ... Qt only addresses the first/main style in a TTF.

Re: Rich Text appearing at standard text
Hi,
Thank you for your post. I'm not totally sure of what is happening, in previous iterations of the file, the font was fine and then, it suddenly changed to 'standard'.
When I open the file, I get the 'font substitution' dialogue box. I just selected a font from higher up the list (didn't have the red 'T' to the left of it), the font changed and looks much better than the 'standard' font.
Again, thank you for your advice.

Meaning the used font in your drawing is no longer addressable.
Just a while ago there was another font bug...
https://qcad.org/rsforum/viewtopic.php? ... hilit=font
The 'standard' font is a CXF line art font: Standard.cxf
I have no fonts listed without the red/black TT
What fontface was it?
