Setting Number of Significant Figures for Dimension

Post by Kevinti28 » Fri Apr 10, 2020 12:40 pm

I am having trouble with dimensions "rounding up" the dimension and cannot find anywhere to set the number of significant figures being displayed.
As a specific example: I am off-setting lines at 10.195mm apart, but when I dimension the drawing, the off-set is shown as 10.2mm, i.e. it has been rounded up.
So how do I get the dimension to show 10.195 instead of 10.2?

To change the precision in the current drawing, go to menu 'Edit->Drawing Preferences'. Under 'Dimension' choose 'Dimension Settings'. Scroll to the bottom, and choose 'Precision' under 'Linear Dimensions'. Change the precision to 0.000.

To change the precision in new drawings, go to 'Edit->Application Preferences'. Under 'Defaults For New Drawings' choose 'Dimension Settings' and change the precision.

A very resent post would be:

Continued from:

Also search for keywords:
- Dimensions
- Preferences (Application & Drawing)

Thank you for your help, I knew there had to be a setting somewhere! Couldn’t find it in the manual, but as usual the forum came up trumps....
