Resolution for exploding splines

Post by andrew » Wed Jan 22, 2020 3:12 pm

From a QCAD user:
Where can I specify the resolution, smoothness or tolerance when exploding splines?

You can find the preferences of the exploding tools at:
Edit > Application Preferences > Modify > Explode

By default, splines are exploded into polylines with tangentially connected arc segments. You can specify the tolerance (maximum error) for this conversion under "Spline approximation tolerance".

Alternatively, you can choose to explode splines to polylines with line segments and specify the number of line segments that are used to interpolate a spline segment.
