[solved] Different scales in Paper Space

Post by kgroover » Mon Nov 25, 2019 12:41 pm

How do I get different scales in Paper space? I am trying to draw up some plans for a house renovation. I have the plan that I have drawn 1:1. I have an A1 paper with 1:50 from the drawing preferences. Does this mean that the plan on an A1 sized paper is 1:50?
I want to create a drawing with a 1:50 plan and 1:100 location plan. How do I do this? Do I have to do the plan then make the location plan half the size in Model Space? I'm confused.

I am new to QCAD but familiar with AutoCAD.

I've looked for the answer but can't seem to find it, so apologies if this has already been answered.
Thank you
Kanina

Please refer to this brief tutorial about viewports and post back if you have any follow-up questions:

Thanks andrew

I have looked at this page. It explains how to create viewports but not how to scale the drawing within them individually. How do I do this?

New Viewport:
When you launch the "Add Viewport" tool an option bar pops up - just determine the scale or rotation.

Existing Viewport:
Select the Viewport and adjust within the "Property Editor" the scale to your needs.

Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.
