Is there a way to paste data from an excel spreadsheet into QCAD?

What if your goal? To get a table in QCAD or to use the coordinates? In the second case, you can indeed paste lists of coordinates into various tools:

Andrew,
Just for data, like a Bill of Materials, or a Fuse allocation table.
Using good old Autosketch you can paste in a range of cells from Excel.
Especially useful if using the OLE Paste Link facility.
