Is there a preference that does not Auto Zoom a drawing when opened? I've looked, but sometimes I can't see the forest for the trees.

Hi,
uncheck "Auto Zoom on load" and you are ready to go.

Re: Open existing drawing invokes Auto Zoom?
Husky, Thanks so, so much. As I said, this is definitely a forest/trees thingie. I'm sure I looked under that tab but perhaps I did not associate "Graphics View/Appearance" with "file load" - not really associative, but now I know.
Thanks again for your continued great help in answering so many questions. You are an invaluable asset to QCAD.
Very best regards
Hugh
