Hi, I need to draw a pattern like a gear but on an ellipse or a curve. Is it possible with Qcad Pro.
I show an example in the attached file. Of course in 2D.
Thanks

Re: Drawing a pattern following a curve
Sure, QCAD Pro provides all tools needed to design something like that.
As you can see without specs easily done in 2 to 3 minutes. With specs could be a different story - depending on the specs ...
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.

Sure, in a nutshell ...Ingallpeter wrote: ↑Mon Aug 08, 2022 8:41 pmHusky thanks a lot. May you provide and idea about which commands you used?
You will find in the Library a script for gears below default/Mechanics/Gears.
You can use "CrankWheel", tweak the parameter a bit to fit your needs.
Place it in Model_Space, if necessary clean it a bit and then scale it 1 in x and 0.4 in y direction. Alternative you could also use the projection tools for an Iso- or Dimetric etc projection.
