Using Colour to Highlight Some Parts of a Drawing

Post by GrowMate » Thu Jan 28, 2021 8:58 pm

It would be really useful if Qcad provided a facility to highlight some parts of a drawing in colour. In Bricscad (which I have just come over from) I colour-coded all my lines in Index color which was converted to black at print time. However to highlight something I used True Color, which Bricscad left unaltered. This enabled parts of a drawing to be highlighted in True Color but doubtless something similar could be achieved using a filter that would print out layers with a # prefix (or something similar) in their specified colour. Is this something that might be do-able at a sensible programming cost?!

Not quite the same but layer states might be worth looking into. They pursue the same goal (different colors for different use cases):
