Hi,
Firstly, thank you for developing a great CAD app.
The drawings that I produce are not 'Engineering Drawings' where perhaps more specific CAD standards / protocols are needed. I produce Architectural drawings that in the main, lean towards 'communicating' ideas to win projects and as a result, presentation is more of a priority for me. As a result of this, it would be very useful if there could be graphical fill patterns as well as gradient fills and also have the ability of changing fill/hatch/gradient transparency levels. I also think that having the ability to use and scale images to represent textures for stone/brick/timber building elements etc.. would be very helpful too.
I do get very good results with QCAD but having these additional features would streamline my workflow considerably.
Again, thank you for all your hard work in producing this great CAD package.
Many thanks,
Iharch
Suggestions for future release?

Re: Suggestions for future release?
These are pretty standard ...
New patterns can be added, locally installed patterns are included in a dxf file.
Came across that in dxf definition while working on hatches ...
(Developing 'Tile2Hatch')
But I don't know if, nor see anything in the pipeline for this.
Transparency level of solid hatches is implemented meanwhile.
Qcad supports most common picture/bitmap types and scaling these + transparency.
But not at all as hatches like SuperHatch under ACAD.
