I’ve spent a lot of time over the past month trimming Bill of Material vertical lines to horizontal ones.
In AutoCAD you could choose to trim multiple lines to to the target line using the FENCE command.
A very handy feature. Can you add it to the list? Thanks.
Multiple trim to a line

Depending on your exact situation, you can use:
Modify > Break out Segment
With the line selection mode. All segments intersected by the line are removed until the next intersection point or the end point.
Modify > Break out Segment

Re: Multiple trim to a line
No, the 'Break out segment ' feature doesn't do multiple lines.
What I want to do is trim all the vertical lines to the bottom of the table by pulling the cursor through the extended lines, trimming them all in one move.
I hope that makes sense.
AutoCAD call it using a 'fence', (Ctrl+F shortcut as I recall)

Re: Multiple trim to a line
Try this:
1. Modify > Break out Segment
2. Tick "Line Selection Mode" in the options toolbar at the top
3. Click start point of the line
4. Click end point of the line
All line segments that are intersected by the line are removed.

Andrew,
Similar as this request: https://qcad.org/bugtracker/index.php?d ... sk_id=1983
And in a way you may close that request as being implemented.
The hint is that the start (3) and end (4) of the line is not referring to the lower horizontal line in the example given by Draffy Duck.
It are arbitrary points so the auxiliary cut line only crosses all extended vertical lines.

CVH
