Hands-on: Printing a Drawing

Post by Latch » Thu Feb 17, 2011 2:09 am

If you skipped straight to the Hands-on sections in Chapter 3 then reach paragraph 2 in the section Hands-on: Printing a Drawing and the "Click the button to center your drawing on the paper." does not work here is the reason.

The section The First Start in Chapter 2 says to use the unit 'Millimeters'.
When in Chapter 3 your drawing units are supposed to be Millimeters.

If you want your sample to look nearly exactly the way the one in the book looks, scrap your current drawing and start a new one.
Before drawing anything go to menu Edit/Current Drawing Preferences - Tab Units and set them to Millimeters.
If your not concerned about matching the samples in the book but just want to get the drawing onto the page:
Use the button Fit to Page.

Thank you for posting then. This is quite basic yet practically beneficial to keep the drawing on the off-shoot of the scrap. :)
