Hello, I came across QCAD and decided to try out some simple things. One thing I wanted to do was to be able to trim a straight line after selecting one end and stretch or reduce it's original length by an amount determined by the mouse - not by pre-setting some fixed increment (plus or minus). Am I missing how to do that or is it not available - something that I have been able to do on all CAD progs I have ever used.
QCAD 64 Trial, Win 11, Lenovo P72
Thank you
Considering purchase, line extension or trim

Also: Press and hold the Alt key to lengthen / shorten the line restricted orthogonally to the original position.
And:
- Select the entity to move
- Move the mouse near but not on one of the markers until the entity is highlighted
- Press and hold the left mouse button
- Move the mouse to start dragging the entity at the indicated marker
- Let go of the left mouse button
- Press and hold the Alt key to restrict orthogonally if required
- Click the left mouse button to position the marker
