Re: Bitmap export image size question
Hi, Because the drawing is almost a sheet I would merge it together in one PDF as PDF data. But that requires an application to edit PDF files directly. Here the exported PDF by QCAD is also in vector format. I don't think that you can get bitmap files in a good enough resolution without that they a...

Re: Isolate objects
Is it possible to isolate objects (and hide all the other objects) ' Objects ' as in objects or as in drawing entities or as in blocks ... Most things are objects in a lower level ... Even layers, layer states, views, viewports, ... or common entities. The answer would be NO for individual drawing ...

Re: [solved] Not all entities shown while moving
newyd_cnc,
To answer that better we would need an example drawing file.
(Also see above forum rules in red)
Presuming complex shapes as those are omitted on preview.
Or complex Blocks, Hatches, ...
Or 3D entities
Or ...

Re: Splines problem
Marek, Topic is posted under the QCAD Pro forum ... Rather a topic for the QCAD/CAM forum: https://www.qcad.org/rsforum/viewforum.php?f=74 For reproducing this we need the DXF file, the source before CAM or the DXF saved after adding profiles with QCAD/CAM. It is probably not spline related ... :| G...

Re: Text for laser cutting
Hi, and welcome to the QCAD forum. TTF are filled outlines defined with splines. One can explode TTF TEXT entities when selected to outlines, see menu Modify .. Explode ( XP ). Also see menu Edit .. Application Preferences .. Modify .. Explode for the used approximation and to convert Glyph's direct...

Re: invisible block attribute and library item
Hi, i set its "invisible" property to "no". Not "invisible" and thus visible ... It seems that it doesn't matter if an Attribute Definition entity is set to invisible or not. When inserting a Block Reference based on a Block with an Attribute Definition then the resulting Block Attribute entity alwa...

Re: Typing in circle radius
Hi, and welcome to the QCAD forum. To set the focus on the Command line simply hit the spacebar. Circle from Center and point ( CI ) does indeed accept a radius by the Command Line. One can also use the Circle from Center and radius ( CR ) tool and then the radius is a option on the Option Toolbar. ...

Re: FlexPainter for Revision Clouds in QCAD 3.29.4.0
Hi, Most likely yes, it runs just fine under QCAD 3.29.4.0 on Windows. And probably yes for MacOs using QT6 there I see a commit to the code by Andrew regarding that. Remark that tools that require a selecting are grayed out without an existent selection. FlexPainter mimics a roller stamp and requir...

Re: Hello from Denmark
Parametric constraints ARE a part of dynamic blocks, true - But having to know Python or having to setup those parameters in a spreadsheet outside QCAD is backwards and non intuitive. Both methods feels like a "workaround" and not an actual solution to a problem. Agreed, both methods are a workarou...

Re: Included circle inside triangle
QCAD version 3.4.5 was released on 2013/12/18. That is more than ten years ago ... Essentially it is not a bug in that version, it is rather a shortcoming. Several major fixes have been implemented in Apollonius.js since then. More recent QCAD versions include a vast amount of improvem...

Re: Included circle inside triangle
I see, you only get 2 out of 8 solutions ... :? heviarti_CT3.png The solver Apollonius.js has not changed for this case in about 4 or more years. Questions: What QCAD version are you running? On what OS? (Please also read the above forum rules in red) That tells me the two tangent tool isn't doing i...

Re: Included circle inside triangle
I think it is incorrect to state that the geometry exists of two tangent circles and that they should meet at the pitch circle. All chain sprocket types that I saw today have a short tangent line connecting two circular segments ... Also see tube starting at timestamp 2:47 Half the geometry of a too...
