Re: Arcs
Thanks, Husky. Like you said to me, I drew out my vertical and horizontal lines of the pipe's OD and ID, then used the Round tool. But I didn't know how to formulate the curves (arcs). But I now see what you're talking about. 35+20 35+13 35-13 35-20 Screenshot from 2017-12-11 21-49-48.png Sure do ap...

[solved] Arcs
Hi Forum: This isn't a QCAD-specific issue, just something I need help with. I don't understand how to draw this: EXERCISE 3.jpg That's a drawing another user here put out for me to try to draw. And this is what I ended up with: Screenshot from 2017-12-11 18-44-52.png My arcs are way off. The only o...

Re: Auto-dimensioning
Can you outline how this would work? I'll do this right away, Andrew. slyde wrote: And while I have the wish list open, maybe at some point we cld have the ability to set defaults for the diameter and radius: ø and R. I assume that would be a default prefix for the label, right? This is correct. Th...

Re: How to change the grab point of a Block
Thank you very much, Andrew. I was afraid of losing the attributes. Now I know how to proceed without doing that. Thanks.

How to change the grab point of a Block
Hi Forum:
I made a Block w/attributes last night. I want to change the grab point on it. I know I can explode it and create the block again and set a new grab point, but I'm worried abt losing the 30 attributes associated with the Block if I do that. What's the best way to do this?

Auto-dimensioning
Hi Forum: Being new to CAD, I tried several CAD prograns before deciding on QCAD. Excellent software! But, if I were to add just one thing from them that QCAD lacks, it wld be the auto-dimensioning tool. One dimensioning tool for aligned, vertical, horizontal, linear, and radius/diameter. And while ...

[solved] Correct way to make this Arc
Hi Forum: I came across some CAD exercises the other day. Being new to CAD, this made me happy. But last night one of them got me. Last piece of the puzzle too! It was a 20 degrees radius arc. I tried all of the arc tools and cldnt make it work. What I ended up doing was making a 20 degrees radius c...

Hi Husky & Clive:
Thank you both for your information. My thoughts exactly, Clive. Maybe that will be added in a future release.
Have a great day, gentlemen. And thank you both for responding.

[solved] Is there a better way to do this?
Hi Forum: I was wondering if there's a better way to use the dimension tool so that I don't get these extended lines. Without dimensioning: Screenshot from 2017-12-07 16-32-28.png With dimensioning: Screenshot from 2017-12-07 16-32-39.png Screenshot from 2017-12-07 18-32-19.png strange_lines.dxf Ple...

Nudge an entity using arrow keys?
Hi Forum:
I was wondering if it's possible to nudge (move in tiny increments) an entity, say a Block, using the arrow keys.

Re: Paper_Space and Viewports
Hi Clive:
I'll be using QCAD for large concrete underground manholes and concrete sections. Most of this is for running wire and piping. I still have a couple months before I'm officially on the clock, so I'm using this time to get to know QCAD inside and out.
