FB, pity ...
When does it crashes or is it at random?
Have you a crash report for Andrew to look at?
Maybe it already tells more by simply reading it ...

CVH

Re: "QCAD" not responding when save
Nice that you could solve this.
Where a file is saved to should not cause an irresponsible stall.
Then again, I am not that familiar with the Linux folder tree structure.

Re: "QCAD" not responding when save
Maybe a solution to throttle back is to load your file in a recent trial pro version and save it in R15 format. Newer QCAD trial versions (=QCAD pro) may use a more recent format by default. Anything not yet supported in R15 will not be saved as such. Updating and removing an installation doesn't al...

Re: "QCAD" not responding when save
Hi, The file loads OK (CE => R15) and saves OK on Win with 3.27.6 Pro. There are a few things that pop out on your console log: - Color #fffff unknown for CSS (An CSS error, 5x 'f') - scripts/Pro/DefaultActionPro.js not found (QCAD Pro) - Style overides (Newer) - Several property changes. (Newer) Ha...

Re: How do I set the thickness of lines?
Hi there, while I now understand that there is a set range of sizes, that does not explain how to actually set the line thickness. Common practice is that the attributes are inherited from the layer. https://www.ribbonsoft.com/en/tutorial-working-with-layers An entity that lives on 'layer 1' then h...

Re: How do I set the thickness of lines?
Hi, and welcome to the QCAD forum. First, CAD uses a limited set of Line-weights from 0.05 up to 2.11 mm whatever your measurement system or drawing unit is. That is the thickness of your line-art on paper or on screen when not using screen based line types. This has been a standard from the days wh...

Re: How to hatch-fill a shape?
Hi, and welcome to the QCAD forum. A Hatch is a separated entity that you created with menu Draw .. Hatch and then from selection or from segments. https://www.ribbonsoft.com/doc/qcad/latest/reference/en/scripts/Draw/Hatch/HatchFromSelection/doc/HatchFromSelection_en.html https://www.ribbonsoft.com/...

Additional Button icons for Misc/Select.
All, I provided Andrew with some simplistic tool icons for the Misc/Select menu/toolbar/... All because the default preferences for these tools is to use empty icon files on toolbars. (One could however opt to exclude them from toolbars ... aka customizing) Before: MissingMiscSelectIcons.png After: ...

Hi, And welcome to the forum. There are a few topics concerning ArcDroid, simply enter the search term 'ArcDroid'. As far as I know it supports dxf files as well as common G-Code. To draw something in dxf then QCAD would be enough, QCAD Professional provides even more tool/methods for a small fee. Q...

Re: Dashed lines, Sketch, 2D, single layer
Hi, It is common that the attributes of entities that live on a layer are inherited from the layer. For that we use ' By Layer ' for the entity properties: Color, Lineweight and Linetype. You can also force something different with using custom attributes for each entity. For a selection of entities...

Re: Select 2 or more elements and combine to create one
Hi, and welcome to the QCAD forum. Creating a linked chain of line and/or arc segments from loose elements can be done by polylines entities. One can convert existing line-art into polylines. Things that are no line and/or arc segments are approximated by such, see the Explode preferences for the us...
