Re: Project with QCAD / CAM
Thanks Husky, much appreciated :) . Dan, I work in mm so: cutter - straight 4 fluted 12.7mm dia. spindle speed -16000 rpm feed rate - 1000 plunge rate 500 This was milled from polyether polyurethane packing foam. It milled out reasonably well considering this was profile cut and not pocketed, I thin...

Project with QCAD / CAM
Just thought I would share a project I have completed using QCAD / CAM, basically it's for foam inserts to hold electronic components. The inserts then fit into aluminum flight cases.

In addition....
if you have set the paper size you need - in most wanted cases big enough for the drawing! Then using the 'Auto Center' option will help as a first step and then as Andrew points out move the paper manually to suit if needed.

Updating plunge rate
I've noticed if I update the plunge rate for a cam tool it doesn't dynamically update toolpaths which are using the same tool - in this example T1.
I had to go through and update more than 20 toolpaths manually - should this be the case or am I missing something here?

Re: About lenght property
Hello Tamer,
After selecting 2 circles, use the info tools - total length of selection. Result will be in the command line.

Andrew, all good points and thank you for pointing out the fact that the copy /paste tools can be equally used - often missed I think!

Re: move a set of circles by one's center point reference
Frank, first create a block from selection (BC) make sure you choose carefully the reference point. Then you can name the block/group and save it the library and use it time and time again - more bespoke block / groups can be created in this way. You will find that in CAD programs this is the standa...

Re: DIM Label code
Andrew, how about adding an alignment option, similar to the options available in the text dialog?
Husky, you could possibly drag the text to the centre, then record the distance and change in the properties dialog window - maybe?

Re: Add dimensions to an existing drawing?
Hi,
There are many potential reasons why you cannot see the wall dims, if you can upload the file (or another similar example) it will be easier to determine what the reason is.
